1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using beam.page ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on beam.page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of the Service

beam.page is a static website hosting platform. It allows users to create, publish, and manage microsites consisting of static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related assets. Content may be created directly or through AI-powered tools.

3. Accounts and access

You may access the Service as a guest (temporary, time-limited access) or by signing in with Google (persistent access).

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication tokens and credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Guest accounts and their associated content are automatically deleted after the designated time period.

4. Your content

"Content" means all files, text, images, code, metadata, and any other material you upload, create, or publish through the Service.

You retain ownership of your Content. By using the Service, you grant Lola Squared Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, serve, and distribute your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are solely and fully responsible for your Content and any consequences arising from it. Lola Squared Ltd does not monitor, review, or endorse any Content and accepts no liability for it.

5. Prohibited content and use

You must not use the Service to create, host, store, or distribute any Content that:

5.1 Illegal material

  • Violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Facilitates or promotes illegal activity of any kind
  • Contains or distributes child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

5.2 Fraud and deception

  • Impersonates any person, company, or entity
  • Is designed to phish, scam, or fraudulently obtain personal information, credentials, or financial details
  • Creates fake or misleading websites intended to deceive visitors
  • Constitutes identity theft or financial fraud

5.3 Harmful or malicious content

  • Contains malware, viruses, trojan horses, or any harmful code
  • Is designed to attack, disrupt, or damage any system or network
  • Collects or harvests user data without consent

5.4 Hateful or abusive content

  • Promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Contains threats, harassment, bullying, or intimidation
  • Promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism, or self-harm

5.5 Intellectual property infringement

  • Infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property right
  • Contains pirated software, media, or other copyrighted material without authorisation
  • Uses trademarks or branding in a way that suggests false endorsement or affiliation

5.6 Adult and obscene content

  • Contains pornographic or sexually explicit material
  • Contains obscene or grossly offensive material

5.7 Spam and abuse

  • Exists primarily for search engine manipulation (SEO spam)
  • Is a thin affiliate site with no substantial original content
  • Sends or facilitates unsolicited messages or communications
  • Is created in bulk to abuse the Service's resources

5.8 Sensitive personal data

  • Publishes private personal information (addresses, phone numbers, financial details, national insurance numbers, etc.) without the individual's explicit consent

6. AI-generated content

Content created through AI-powered tools is subject to the same rules as all other Content. You are responsible for reviewing and ensuring that any AI-generated Content complies with these Terms, including the prohibited content rules in Section 5.

The use of AI tools does not reduce or transfer your responsibility for the Content published on your site.

7. Our rights

Lola Squared Ltd reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to:

  • Remove or disable access to any Content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe to be harmful, illegal, or objectionable
  • Suspend or terminate your account for any violation of these Terms
  • Reclaim any subdomain or project slug at any time
  • Delete all Content associated with a terminated account
  • Cooperate with law enforcement authorities and comply with legal requests, including court orders and lawful data requests

We are not obligated to monitor Content but reserve the right to do so.

8. Reporting violations

If you believe any Content hosted on beam.page violates these Terms or applicable law, please contact us at abuse@beam.page. We will review reports promptly and take appropriate action.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Lola Squared Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Lola Squared Ltd in the six months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (GBP 100)

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lola Squared Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your Content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third party's rights

11. Data and privacy

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at beam.page/privacy.

Guest account data is automatically deleted after the designated time period. Persistent account data is retained for the duration of your account and deleted upon account termination, subject to any legal retention requirements.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your projects and account through the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately and we may delete all associated Content.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lola Squared Ltd regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
